Hallway Wall Art

Hallways are viewed from a few feet away and almost never straight on, which makes them the easiest place in a house to hang a series. The work here is scaled for that — smaller and mid-size pieces meant to be read one after another as you walk.

Three or four canvases in a row at a consistent height is the standard move, spaced evenly and hung a little lower than gallery height in a narrow hall. Keeping one palette across the run holds the sequence together, even when the subjects differ.
